This wine is 100% Tinta de Toro from selected old-vines plots and aged during 14 months in American oak.. Deep dark cherry red color with dark purple tones. Powerful yet elegant nose, refined and stylish with ripe berry fruit, spicy complexity with scents of clove, sandalwood, vanilla, chocolate. Muscular, elegant yet silky smooth taste shows fruit preserves/jam blackberry and chocolate truffle. Concentrated and rich but not sweet with superb length. A good match for venison or wild boar with a fruit-based sauce..80 pts. |Priority : ★★★ |

Tempranillo is the backbone of wines made in the well-known Spanish regions Rioja and Ribera del Duero, but is also grown as far afield as Mexico and Australia. As a flavor profile, red fruits like strawberries and cherries can predominate - but with a rustic edge. Many wines made from Tempranillo will spend a few years in barrel and bottle before reaching the consumer. Many Tempranillo-based wines see a few years of oak - add that to a few years of bottle and the wine can give a subtle and occasionaly not-so-subtle - leathery mouthfeel. The combination of the tart fruit and tannins make this wine very food friendly. This one particularly I found it with much aroma on the nose and fruit flavors: plum, dark cherry, berry. There is a nice richness that I don't often find in bottles in this price point.. Black fruits, exhibiting stewed prunes and green pepper on the nose. Medium plus acidity, medium tannins, body and length. On the palate, black fruit and pepper shows through. Smells so so. Taste doesn't quite match but the balance but is fairly good. 80 pts. |Priority : ★★★ |

Good everyday wine (read: around 7 bucks). Not much nose, but fruit flavors: plum, dark cherry, berry. There is a nice richness that I don't often find in bottles in this price point.. Blend of species mainly in the fermentation using the Tempranillo produced in the area called the la Rioja. Tastes Raspberry, spice, and gives the impression derived from a complex aroma of several herbs mixed on the oak aromas. The rich flavor with a balanced feeling better fruit. I strongly recommend this delicious wine from Spain .80 pts. |Priority : ★★★ |

This was an enjoyable tempranillo/cab sauvignon blend that had good dark color, is medium to full bodied, good smooth texture, nice fruit on the nose and its palate gives you plum and cherry with the right amount of oak. This will satisfy those who love the oaky essence but also to those who aren't always as fond of it - this is a crowd pleaser for entertaining. wine from Spain .60 pts. |Priority : ★ |

This was an enjoyable Crimson colour, muted nose at first, opens up with surprising fruit. Vanilla (oak) dominates the palate but some dark fruit and matured elements (tobacco and cedar) is quite apparant. Medium-short finish. Drink or keep. 70 pts. |Priority : ★★ |

This is what I'm looking for in tempranillo. Dark aromas of blackberry, a little herb action, and some smokey bark. Bold dark berry flavors and a long moderately tannic finish. thin bouquet, dry burnt raisins with some lingering acidity. 80 pts. |Priority : ★★★ |

Really aromatic (raspberry, tobacco, balsamic and toasted notes, coffee, chocolate bonbon) and elegant on the nose. Surprising strawberry-cocoa mixture on the palate, accompanied with some bitterness and wooden notes. Good acidity and body. Smooth despite its alcohol, controlled power. Curious after taste, but also attractive.. 80 pts. |Priority : ★★★ |

Really aromatic nose is oak and spice (pepper). taste is bold, berry, licorice. Lingers well.Right out of the bottle this wine is very good. After a day it is very smooth but it looses the berry taste. Let breath but not too long. 70 pts. |Priority : ★★ |
